Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 14, 2026

Short version:

Solace runs entirely on your device. We don’t collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal information. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no trackers.

What Solace stores

Solace saves a small amount of data locally on your device only, so the app can function:

This data is stored in iOS’s standard local storage (UserDefaults) and never leaves your phone. It is not sent to us, to Apple, or to any third party. Deleting the app removes all of it.

Screen Time and FamilyControls

Solace uses Apple’s FamilyControls and ManagedSettings frameworks to block apps and websites. When you pick apps to block, iOS gives Solace anonymous tokens that represent those apps — not the app names, icons, or bundle IDs. Solace cannot see which specific apps you’ve selected, and neither can we.

NFC

Solace reads NFC tags to start and end focus sessions. The app only checks whether a tag was scanned — it does not record tag contents, identifiers, or location. No NFC data is stored or transmitted.

Analytics and tracking

Solace does not use any analytics, crash reporting, advertising SDKs, or third-party trackers. We do not know when you open the app, how often you focus, or how you use any feature.

Children’s privacy

Solace is safe for users of all ages. Because Solace collects no data at all, it does not collect data from children either.

Changes to this policy

If Solace ever adds a feature that requires collecting or transmitting data (for example, cloud sync or an account system), this policy will be updated before that feature is released, and you will be informed inside the app. Any future change will continue to treat your data as private by default.
